What We Handle In Rio
Queen palm cleanup along NE Dixie Highway, oak limb removal on river-facing lots, and seawall-side brush clearing on tight 1/3-acre Rio parcels. FDEP shoreline-buffer awareness on every river-facing job.
Looking for tree service in Rio? Swift handles tree removal, palm care, and waterfront work across this small Martin County unincorporated community on the north side of the St. Lucie River, across from Stuart and bordered by Jensen Beach.
Rio sits on a working waterfront where shoreline-vegetation rules turn ordinary trimming into a Florida DEP-authorization question. Mangrove trimming requires a separate FDEP-permitted specialty contractor. We do not perform mangrove work and will refer you out.
Swift handles the non-mangrove shoreline trees, the river-corridor buffer rules, and direct coordination with FWC where shoreline wildlife protection applies. We never start a waterfront job without the paperwork on file.

Rio is small, and the waterfront is the whole point. Shoreline-buffer rules are non-negotiable. Florida law protects mangroves and Swift does not perform mangrove trimming. If your job involves mangroves, we will refer you to a licensed mangrove contractor.
Outside the shoreline buffer line, the work is straightforward: sabal palms, queen palms, the occasional live oak. ISA-aligned cuts on every visit. Same crew every time.

Rio sits on the Indian River Lagoon between Jensen Beach and Sewall’s Point. Small, fishing-community feel, with shoreline vegetations on most river-facing properties and a steady demand for shoreline-vegetation management that requires Florida DEP authorization.
We never start a Rio job without checking the shoreline buffer first. Coastal-vegetation experience on-staff, DEP paperwork filed before any cut, and a clean record with Martin County on every permitted job.

Rio is a small Martin County unincorporated community on the north side of the St. Lucie River, across from Stuart and bordered by Jensen Beach. Langford Park sits within Rio with baseball fields, pickleball, tennis, and the Rio-Jensen Skatepark. Many properties sit close to shoreline vegetation. Swift follows shoreline-buffer protocol on every shoreline job (buffer documentation, trim-height records, view-corridor compliance).
Ana and the crew came to my house and did an amazing job cutting a big tree and after all was done they removed all the debris and left my yard spotless.

Rio is small and tightly packed, most removals are on lots under a third of an acre with neighbors close on both sides and the river on the third. We work tight in here: rigging down piece by piece instead of dropping, no trucks on the seawall, and FDEP shoreline-buffer awareness on every river-facing job. ISA Certified Arborist, written quote in 4 hours, COI to your insurer before any saw runs.
Learn moreMost Rio trimming work is live oak structural pruning on the older homestead lots, queen palm cleanup along NE Dixie Highway, and shoreline-side canopy lifts where overhanging limbs threaten boats or seawalls. ANSI A300 cuts only, no topping, no lion-tailing. We coordinate the river-edge work around tide windows so equipment is not parked on a wet seawall when the wind picks up.
Learn moreQueens, sabals, and a few coconuts on the warmer river-protected lots. That is most of Rio. We trim to ISA palm protocol: no hurricane cuts that shorten palm life, no climbing spikes on living trunks, and we sanitize between properties because Ganoderma rot moves through tight neighborhoods like Rio faster than you would expect.
Learn moreRio yards are small and the irrigation, lighting, and utility runs are stacked close together, 811 location matters here more than on bigger lots. We grind 6 to 8 inches for sod, 12 to 18 for replanting, deeper for pool decks and patios. Sandy soil grinds clean and we haul chips on request because there is rarely room to spread them on a Rio lot.
Learn moreRio sits between Jensen Beach and Sewall’s Point. Storm calls here are usually queen palm failure into a screen porch, oak limb across a dock or seawall, or wind-damaged sabals along the river side. A real person answers our 24/7 line, and you will have a COI in hand before any climber leaves the truck.
Learn moreOn Rio properties the storm priorities are queen palms (high failure rate), any pine close to the house, and live oaks that have not been pruned in a decade. We walk the property pre-season, photograph the high-risk trees, and document what needs to come down or be structurally pruned in a format your insurance can work from. March through May is when this work happens.
Learn moreLot clearing in Rio is small-scale by design, the parcels are mostly built out. Most calls are partial clears for pool installs, dock-area cleanup, and brush plus invasive removal along seawalls. We coordinate with Martin County code and FDEP setback rules on every shoreline job. Shoreline tree work is not in our scope. We refer that out to licensed specialists.

No. Mangroves are not in our scope. We refer that to a licensed mangrove contractor. We will still handle non-mangrove trees on the same lot and flag the buffer line before we start.
Once a year for cosmetic upkeep is plenty for a healthy queen palm. Over-trimming weakens the canopy. We will tell you on-site if your palm does not need a trim yet.
Yes. We size the crew and equipment to the job. Sometimes that means a two-person crew with a small chipper instead of a full rig. Same standard of work either way.
